We love Susie Tallman’s “Children’s Songs, A Collection of Childhood Favorites” CD, so we ordered this one. It’s not as good. The second half of the CD is basically people reading some nursery rhymes, not too original.

This CD is lovely. The songs are familiar but sung in new and exciting ways that keep my 15 month-er interested day in day out AND (perhaps most importantly) neither my husband and I are getting tired of it. This is remarkable given that we play the CD about three times a day at our daughter’s request. We love that there are a number of different accents on the CD – songs are sung by British, Australian, American voices. I have been taking our daughter to music classes that use the Music Together curriculum but, to some extent I feel that this CD is more interesting, more fun and with the same benefits.

I love this CD. It has 37 songs & rhymes! It has many of the classic songs and the versions are very entertaining for kids and adults. I think the music and singing is high quality and not goofy or irritating like some kids CDs. And it comes with the lyrics which is great.

I have to preface this review with the following: I am a 36 year old new mom and I dont know any nursury rhymes or sing along songs for babies. If I did at one time, I forgot them. So, I bought this CD as much for my baby as for myself. I am not disappointed.
I love the range of songs on here. From Itsy Bitsy Spider to others that I had never heard of, this is a great CD to play in the car. I can now sing these songs to my son while in giving him a bath, changing his diaper, etc. The songs are fun, some are funky, some are just downright silly. Some of the songs have a thick accent (I’m a little tea pot), but its easy to discern the words after a few listens. I even find myself listening to the CD when my son isnt in the car!
